How the Tower of Babel & Future Global Leader's Kingdom Relate

In Genesis 10:8-10 we read:  "Cush begot Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one on the earth. He was a mighty hunter before the Lord; therefore it is said, “Like Nimrod the mighty hunter before the Lord.” 10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar."
In  Genesis 11:1-9 we read this: " Now the whole earth had one language and one speech. And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar, and they dwelt there. Then they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They had brick for stone, and they had asphalt for mortar. And they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.”
But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built. And the Lord said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them. Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.” So the Lord scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, and they ceased building the city. Therefore its name is called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth; and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of all the earth."

We see that from these verses a leader named Nimrod led the people of the earth to rebel against God and set up a religion or kingdom opposed to God. Therefore, God had to confuse the languages and scatter them because, "now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them."
Just imagine, if God had allowed the entire human race to follow Nimrod, they would have all been deceived and followed this false religion Nimrod was trying to set up. As the scripture says: "Nothing will be withheld (impossible) for them. So God confused their language so that the people would scatter and form what we see today: Many Nations with many languages!
How does this relate to what Revelation says will happen when the Anti-Christ is to rule after the Rapture of the church.  Lets look at a two things:
  1. Nimrod was a type of Anti-Christ, leading mankind in rebellion against God.
  2. The people were one in those days with one language; Just as the world will be one through a Global Government, Religion, and Economy. (Revelation 13)
We can see also from Hitler's Germany the power of one man leading a nation astray and being deceived and led to great ungodliness. The same will be true after the Rapture. The Anti-Christ will rise to power deceiving the world: "The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. ( 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12)
We can learn that God was righteous in confounding the languages at the Tower of Babel. But in the near future, He will allow this lawless one to rise to power and accomplish what Nimrod and many other evil rulers in History have tried to do. God has Satan on a leash.  Unfortunately after the church is gone, God will loosen that leash and judgement will fall upon the earth!
May those who do not know Christ, heed to this warning and choose to follow Him today!

  1. Very powerful description of what's shortly to come. May the Lord come soon! (Revelation 22: 20-21)
